Another Monday means another Fahjah review! His latest release, ‘Bounce with Me’, follows the trend we have found through our weekly Fahjah listens: the track creates a whole moment. We have seen and described to you, over the past weeks, how his music is able to create these unique moments so vividly with his music. ‘Bounce with Me’ uses only a couple sounds to bring our brains into another funky narrative- one that has us hopping around the room.

The song opens up with the lyric “Everybody bounce!” and then introduces that image-defining sound. The low bass moves up and down to feel like the croak of a bullfrog. That sound instantly sparks the narration of the party swamp. The low croak then moves into tree-froggish ribbits that fade into the lyrical spotlight. The song screams green, energetic, and loud- like the slimy amphibians that we now imagine enjoying this song. Fahjah still gives that amazing club feel, while still inspiring such fun imagery. The bass thuds and echoes, as if it were coming out a hollow stump. The whole track moves elastically and brings that bouncy feel, which permeates into the title, genre, and story of the track. The union of those aspects to the track define the WTV term floppy frogleg

A track that has an elevated level of bounce to it. A level that would be equal to a limp frog leg on a trampoline- it has layers of bounce that exist inside one another

Another song that is given life through the details. Fahjah has been crazy with tying small aspects of his production and promotion together to bring something to life on the listen. It is so fun to see so many different stories told to us, from the same artist, in such a short time. We are always ready for the next track, while still smiling from the last.

Until next time.

Peace.
